From the brand
We've seasoned the pink beans in this pouch with Puerto Rican sofrito - a traditional cooking base of onion, bell pepper, tomato, garlic, cumin, oregano, annatto seeds and cilantro, all cooked in olive oil. The only other ingredients are sea salt and water. The result is full of flavor, nutrients and history. Cooking directions: Stovetop -- open using notch A. Empty entire contents into a dry pan. Stir over medium-low heat until warm. Microwave -- vent using notch A. Heat for 60 seconds. Remove top to pour / OR / Use notch B to convert pouch to a convenient, go-anywhere bowl.
READY TO EAT SOFRITO: Our recipes deliver authentic traditional flavor and a clean label— No questionable ingredients or anything else you wouldn’t find in your own pantry.
GLUTEN-FREE & PRESERVATIVE FREE: Our sofrito is made with non-GMO ingredients including: black beans, rice, fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices cooked in extra virgin olive oil.
NUTRITIOUS: 14g of protein, grains and beans make a complete meal, providing your macro-nutrient needs with protein, carbohydrates and healthy-fat (plus fiber).
MICROWAVABLE & CONVENIENT: Just vent, heat and serve. Our BPA-free microwavable pouches are shelf-stable and ideal for meals on the go—at work, camping, or picnics. Perfect for no-fuss weeknight dinners too.
VERSATILE: On salads, as a side or right out of the pouch. Our grain and beans go well with anything you are serving, but are terrific on their own, too. Pairs great with chicken or fish.
