From the brand
Perfect for Tiramisu. With our Alessi flagship line of products we are proud to announce our entry into the dessert line. In addition to these Alessi Savoiardi Lady Fingers cookies, look for these other fine dessert products in your grocer's store. Alessi Cannoli: With the Arab introduction of sugar into Sicily in the 9th century the cooking style of this three sided island changed forever. Ricotta had long been an essential part of Sicilian cuisine as well as pine nuts and currants. Resourceful Sicilians added the neutral sweetness of sugar to these staple foods, wrapped them in a fried but delicate pastry tube and hence the birth of Cannoli. Originally enjoyed by Sicilians at Carnival time, word spread quickly of their goodness. The wonderful legacy of this Sicilian invention now enjoys worldwide popularity. Enjoy Alessi Cannoli after your next Italian feast. Traditional size Cannoli available in packages of six and mini Cannoli in boxes of twelve. Recipes are on each box. Alessi Cantuccini: Alessi Cantuccini Alla Mandorla crispy almond cookies are from the lovely and fertile, hilly region of Tuscany. Our crunchy cookies are generously infused with almonds and are customarily enjoyed after a fine meal by dipping into a glass of Vin Santo or any other sweet dessert wine. Cantuccini can also be enjoyed with espresso, cappuccino or milk or can accompany your favorite gelato (ice cream). Truly a gastronomic delight, keep these cookies on hand for an anytime snack.. Oven baked confectionary product. Product of Italy.
