Practice Yoga Today

Do you practice yoga? Do you meditate?

If the answer to this is no you might not know all the mental and physical benefits it offers.

And if you do practice, we hope you know all the benefits it brings to your life, not only physically but mentally. Mental health is really important, and you should take good care of it.

So, we’re going to introduce what is it and the results the studies have shown about it.

Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning a “union of the body and mind.” It combines the physical postures or asanas with the mental conscious breathing and the spiritual connection with universal consciousness. Practicing yoga improves balance, endurance, flexibility, and strength, while meditation helps keep the mind sharp, relieves stress and anxiety by decreasing activity in the sympathetic nervous system, and can strengthen your immune system.✨💆🙌💓 Also, research shows that yoga affects cardiovascular health, lowering blood pressure and the heart rate. It may also improve quality of life in those with atrial fibrillation, a common heart rhythm disorder.
There are many yoga poses, twists, and moves that massage internal organs that help food move along in your digestive system. Yoga also stimulates the lymphatic system that helps flush out toxins, making your body cleaner. Meditation can also help with symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD) by reducing the frequency of stress-related flare-ups.

Following a few simple poses, breathing techniques, and positive coping skills can help retirees manage stress, improve mental clarity, manage chronic conditions, and promote a healthier lifestyle.

So, start now! Try meditating in the morning or evening even if for 5 to 10 minutes. Incorporate a yoga class a regular exercise regimen. Try one or both and reap the health benefits. Being consistent with these practices is key. 🙂👌🌅
