Eating vegetables provides health benefits.

Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your body and are likely to reduced risk of some chronic diseases if you include them in your diet.

Some of the benefits for your health:

  • Reduce risk for heart disease, including heart attack and stroke.
  • Reduce the risk of obesity, and type 2 diabetes.
  • May lower blood pressure
  • May also reduce the risk of developing kidney stones and help to decrease bone loss.

 

But you wonder how.

Well the trick to developing an appreciation for all kinds of vegetables is to cook them in ways that brings you joy and uses their best qualities.

So, stop thinking that vegetables are equal to salad. Include them in some of your favorite meals, fresh or hot, baked, grilled, boiled, steamed, along with rice or noodles, in a smoothie, even in an ice cream.

Take the right balance between these meals, because if you only eat them fried, you won’t take much advantage of their properties and the health benefits of this intake.
